Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen

Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (Mild HBOT) is a non-invasive therapeutic approach that involves inhaling oxygen at a higher concentration while inside a pressurized chamber. Unlike traditional HBOT, Mild HBOT involves lower levels of pressure making it a safer and more accessible form of oxygen therapy. During Mild HBOT, the body is exposed to higher levels of oxygen, which can stimulate the body’s natural healing processes, and reduce inflammation. The session typically lasts about an hour and can be repeated multiple times. The therapy has been utilized to enhance muscle recovery, combat jet lag, improve cognitive performance, boost immune health, alleviate pulmonary inflammation, and address various other issues.

When the body is exposed to atmospheric pressure significantly higher than normal, oxygen is able to dissolve into the blood plasma independently, which is a deviation from its normal route of binding with hemoglobin. As a result of this, the body becomes capable of delivering more oxygen to the tissues. This phenomenon is due to Henry’s Law, which states that the amount of gas dissolved in a liquid solution is directly proportional to the pressure of the gas.
